Scanning & Diagnostics Projects
Over the past 10 years we have delivered several Diagnostic and Scanning facilities both in the public and the private sector.
Whilst these projects have similarities to health care projects, they may not necessarily be situated on a hospital campus.
We have delivered such complex projects in city centre and on commercial sites. Our projects range from the provision of brand new scanning facilities to providing project management, enabling works and logistical planning for replacement of aged scanners.
Where scanners are being replaced in existing facilities, we are always conscious that the building will be live so we will collaborate with the client, the scanning providers, logistics companies, local authorities and management companies to ensure that the old scanner is removed and the new scanner is installed to meet the clients programme.
These works very often take place out of hours and it has often been commented that the new 8 tonne scanner appeared in the room as if by magic….
Alliance Medical Navan MRI
Alliance Medical Smithfield
This project involved the refurbishment of an existing MRI and CT Scanner suite on the 3rd floor of a live healthcare setting. Works included the removal of curtain walling to facilitate craning of specialist equipment, with extensive enabling works, road closures, and traffic management implemented to ensure safety in the busy Smithfield Market area.
JM Stenson Construction delivered a complex design-and-build project in the core of a Tier 1 Dublin hospital’s ED, overcoming logistical challenges. Through strong collaboration with our DB team and hospital stakeholders, we completed the high-standard scanning facility on time and budget – moving from detailed design to handover in just six months.
Refrubishment of the existing X-ray room including upgrades to the waiting room, toilets, changing room and staff area. Works included lead shielding, fire doors, x-ray doors and lighting and mechanical upgrades.
