Project Overview

JM Stenson Construction Ltd was appointed Building Contractor on this project.
We collaborated with the design team which consisted of;

• Quantity Surveyors: Liam Boylan Chartered Quantity Surveyors

The project involved demolishing the existing rear extension and building a new 2 storey extension adding a new kitchen, Utility , 2 new bedrooms, and ensuite bathrooms.

The existing Georgian styled house was restored to its original splendour while adding new bespoke windows, and doors.

The house was completely rewired and plumbed. We installed a modern air to water heat pump and retro fitted a slender under floor heat system which was laid on top of the existing floors in the upstairs bedrooms.

The architect’s innovative design blended the old with the new, to create a beautiful living space both internally and externally. We formed an internal courtyard to ensure natural day light flowed through the house.

The front garden was landscaped to sit with the vernacular of the time, and rear garden was created to suite a modern Mediterranean style with raised beds, blue black paving and cedar wall cladding.

The challenge here was access, as this was a mid-terrace house; all materials had to be transported through the front doors.
